Finance Director 

Aden Abdi Ahmed joined Veterinarians Without Borders (VWB) in April 2022 as Finance Director. Aden has worked with CARE Canada and World University Service of Canada managing programs in Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Sudan, and South Sudan. While with CARE Canada, Aden was deployed in Kenya, Sudan, and Somalia for extended periods as interim Finance Director to manage the financial management of country offices.

Prior to joining VWB, Aden lead transition periods at CARE Sudan and CARE Somalia as the Interim Finance Director, overseeing these country offices through complex environment financial management. He holds an Honour's BA in Accounting from Vancouver Island University and is completing his CPA in Ontario.
