Brian has Masters' degrees in Tourism Management & Marketing from Griffith University in Australia and Agriculture & Development from University of Reading in the UK. He spent almost a decade teaching tourism programs in Canadian Colleges prior to joining the development community. He has worked with major international organizations on projects in Eastern and Southern Africa that focus on market linkage, agriculture, secure livelihoods, organizational assessment/development and gender & human rights.

Meaningful youth engagement in agriculture is key to the improvement of the social wellbeing of communities as it plays a critical role in enhancing food security.
Over 16 days, a small group of volunteer veterinarians and registered veterinary technologists travelled to three communities in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut region of Canada.
