Climate change in the face of war: Ukraine’s complex crisis
Ukraine’s crisis isn't about the conflict alone; it has also created devastating ecological impacts that continue to threaten people and animals within and beyond its borders.
Community One Health Empowerment Rwanda & Senegal (COHERS) is a strategically designed initiative that aims to address One Health Empowerment in Rwanda and Senegal. Facilitated by Veterinarians Without Borders North America/Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Amérique du Nord, this program embodies a comprehensive approach to public health, animal welfare, and environmental stewardship.
The program adopts an interdisciplinary approach to unify public health, veterinary sciences, and environmental policies under a single umbrella, offering a balanced focus on human, animal, and ecosystem well-being.
With operations extending across Rwanda and Senegal, COHERS serves as a cornerstone for region-specific solutions to global challenges, thereby contributing to international public health and sustainable development goals.
Through targeted educational programs, community-based interventions, and sustainable development projects, COHERS is committed to equipping local populations with the tools and knowledge necessary for long-term resilience and prosperity.
The Project Implementation Plan is dated September 15, 2023, indicating the program's timely relevance and commitment to current global health challenges.
Veterinarians Without Borders North America/Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Amérique du Nord couldn't do the work we do without your support. Whether it's a financial donation or a donation of your time, by improving the health of animals you will be working to improve the health and quality of life for people throughout the world.
Ukraine’s crisis isn't about the conflict alone; it has also created devastating ecological impacts that continue to threaten people and animals within and beyond its borders.
